It's been over a week since I last shared a project. That's because I've been busy working on the finishing touches of my new blog look and I finally finished it on Sunday. You might have noticed I've changed my branding too, after I updated all of my social media the weekend prior.
I really hope you like the new design, it looks so much better on mobile devices and it looks pretty cool on desktop and laptop computers too. My online shop is back too, should you wish to order any Stampin' Up! products.

I've used the All Things Fabulous stamp set, Fabulous Floral dies, Hydrangea Hill DSP and the Opal Rounds.
I have stamped the flowers and leave in Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Soft Sea Foam.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. You might also have noticed behind the flowers is a label from the Nested Labels dies.

I've been so busy the last few weeks getting ready for Christmas that I've lost track of time slightly and didn't want to miss sharing these cards I created a few weeks ago.
Your Christmas cards may have been written and posted long ago however, these ideas will always be available here on my blog to help inspire Christmas crafting with products you've invested in, for many more years to come!
I've been #simplestamping with yet another new stamp set.
The stamp set is called Tasteful Touches and I've only used two stamps for the cards I'm sharing with you today.
Plus, the sentiment fonts are so lovely, don't you think?

You can pin your own papercraft cards or projects. You can even repin cards made by others!
You don't need to be a demonstrator to collaborate on this board. You can pin anything you like, as long as it's been created with Stampin' Up! products. They can be old or new projects, created with retired or current products.
To create this card, I've stamped feathers in Smoky Slate and Pretty Peacock / Blackberry Bliss, being careful not to overlap the images. Then I stamped over the feathers in Versamark Ink and applied silver embossing powder, before heat embossing.
I like in this card how the feathers appear to be 'falling' - this was not at all planned (although hindsight is wonderful thing)
To assemble the card, I added a strip of silver foil to separate the stamping from the white space on the card, then I stamped the sentiment 'Just saying hello' and heat embossed it in silver.
I am entering these cards into the TGIF challenge #TGIFC269. I definitely qualify as I have created my own patterned paper, as set out in the brief below.
So that's it! No punches, no die cutting, no patterned paper, no ribbon or embellishments...
My next post will feature cards I made following an idea I had when creating these cards... love a happy accident!

The new Peony Garden product suite from Stampin' Up! is my favourite new product! The colours are PERFECT! Petal Pink, Gray Granite and Basic Gray look so lovely together - it's a very modern and 'on trend' colour combination!
Did you know that all Stampin' Up! products coordinate seamlessly? From cardstock, to patterned paper, ink, markers, ribbons, embellishments and more. It's what made me fall in love with the products almost 7 years ago now! I wanted my patterned paper to match my cardstock and for my ink to match too!
Coincidentally both feature similar layouts this week!
Last week I entered two different cards into the Global Design Project and TGIF Challenges. I am so surprised and absolutely thrilled that I was selected as a winner for both of them!

It was our 11th wedding anniversary earlier this week and this is the card I created for my lovely husband! As you can see, I haven't used too much patterned paper and kept the colour palette very masculine, with just a pop of Petal Pink.
The Peony dies I've used are very clever and a first for Stampin' Up! Within the pack of 17 dies there are:
- dies that cut out stamped images
- dies that create a layered 3D peony flower and leaves - the pieces simply slot togehter to make the flower - wow!
Also within the suite is the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder, I never used to like using embossing folders however, in the last few years the Stampin' Up! range of embossing folders have offered more modern patterns. This embossing folder creates two different looks depending on which side you want showing.... it took me a while to decide, dilemma's, dilemma's!
In case you didn't notice, I added a strip of a Champagne Foil Sheet for a touch of glamour. This colour specialty paper goes perfectly with this suite.
The Elegant Faceted Gems are simply stunning! They look like water droplets from afar! I'm definitley going to have to get some more of these!
The Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon coordinates just perfectly with the rest of the products in this suite. I think the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon carried over from last years catalogue will also compliment this suite very nicely.
I cut a piece of the Peony Garden DSP to cover the complete inside of the card. By shortening the width of the card front, I was able to meet the challenge briefs and showcase this beautiful patterned paper!
I didn't use the sentiments from the Prized Peony stamp set. Instead I used the Forever Fern stamp set for the sentiment shown above, this one works so much better for the occasion!
Did you know you can purchase Stampin' Up! products from me? Why not start a new hobby while being at home more often during lockdown? It's such good therapy too! There's nothing quite like the feeling of creating something!

I've taken part in the TGIF Challenge today! This week they have a colour challenge to use the Stampin' Up! colours Crumb Cake, Bumble Bee and Night of Navy.
I was completely outside of my comfort zone here but it is great to stretch yourself and work with colour combinations you never normally would combine together! I'm going to try to do this more often!

Another challenge for me right now is I don't have a lot of 'current' Stampin' Up! product to use. The new catalogue was released a few days ago so I am patiently waiting for my box of goodies to arrive... so in the meantime I have a pack of Misty Moonlight cardstock (see this Monday's blog post) and a pack of the Flowers for Every Season 6" x 6" DSP to play with and showcase on my blog!
I have quite a few stamp sets and dies but they are mostly sentiment stamp sets and labels dies! I seem to be quite a collector of these. What this situation has allowed me to do is really look at the individual stamp and dies I've overlooked, so you'll see a few of these over the next few blog posts!
I didn't actually have any Bumble Bee cardstock so I selected one of the patterned paper sheets that featured this colour in the Flowers for Every Season DSP. I really love the subtle monochrome flower design and wish it was available in other colours.
The dies I've used are from in the Garden Gateway Dies. I've actually used the same patterned paper to die cut these shapes from, I really like the multi-tonal look that's been achieved.
The panel of Night of Navy cardstock has been embossed using the Pinewood Plank embossing folder. I stamped 'Thanks' in Versa Mark ink using a sentiment from the Well Said Stamp Set and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I then broke down the fibres in the Crumb Cake cardstock using my bone folder to give it a worn look. To finish I've added Linen Thread and a Gold Gilded Gem.
