It's only three sleeps until Christmas and I still have four more cards to share with you!
I've been so busy the last few weeks getting ready for the festive period that I'm only just now getting round to sharing the final cards I created for 2020.
Your Christmas cards may have been written and posted long ago however, these ideas will always be available here on my blog to help inspire Christmas crafting for many more years to come
I've combined two suites from Stampin' Up! to make this Pop Up Christmas card - I've used the Snowflake Splendor DSP from the Snowflake Splendour suite and the Coming Home stamp set & Home Together dies from the Trimming the Town suite.
I got the inspiration for this card from a fantastic card swap I received from Alexis Pritchard at the #PinkiesRetreat2020. You can check out the front of her card here and the inside here. Alexis kindly shared with me how she created her card - if you're reading this Alexis, thank you!
I used my Stampin' Blends to colour the stamped images - I used Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake - these colours go beautifully with the DSP snowflake sky.
The sentiments are from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and Wrapped in Christmas stamp set.

This year has been like no other. Despite this, the crafting community has continued to flourish with lots of new crafters discovering the joy of creating handmade crafts of many kinds.
For me, there is nothing like the joy I get from creating and without this, I know this year would have been much tougher.
This wonderful hobby has undoubtedly helped so many get through these difficult times and create a positive distraction from the terrible consequences this virus has had on the world and life as we know it.
Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog including my lovely subscribers, I'm so thankful for you taking the time to visit Handmade by Kim. I hope you enjoy my projects and having access to even more ideas when I'm blog hopping with papercrafters from all of the world.

This month’s theme is Christmas! It's hands down my favourite time of the year to craft.
You'll be spoilt for inspiration today with over 20 papercraft projects from papercrafters and demonstrators from all over the world!
Today I am using the popular Trimming the Town DSP - I don't know about you but I have thoroughly enjoyed creating with the Trimming the Town suite this year.
Is this patterned paper still in stock in your country? Or has it sold out in the End of Year Closeout?
There is no stamping on this card - everything has been fussy cut from the paper.
I love how cute the row of little houses is - in fact, I recently created some treat bags using exactly the same technique - click here to check them out.
#toptip It doesn't matter if you have half a house or part of a house missing (vertically) - this may be from where you have cut the paper previously and are using up scraps. All you need to do is layer your houses over each other so that this missing part it is not seen!
I have added layers of a Poppy Parade and Whisper White underneath the Misty Moonlight stripey patterned paper.
Adding the scalloped oval from the Layering Circles dies in Poppy Parade and also one house in the same colour, ties everything together.
I've decorated the inside of the card too and have followed the same design but this time I have added a Poppy Parade scalloped square from the Layering Squares dies.
I found some more scraps and fussy cut another house, a sentiment and some people. They are honestly a piece of cake to fussy cut and they are the perfect addition to my scene.
For one final touch, I added Whisper White and Misty Moonlight twine - from the Flowers for Every Season Combo Pack

I have created these treat bags several times but this is a new, larger size standing at just under 7" tall.
To decorate my treat bag I used the Layering Circles dies to die cut the largest scallop circle in Pool Party cardstock and the largest circle in Whisper White cardstock.
I chose a sentiment from the Trimming the Town DSP (below right) that would fit within my die cut circle.
I then fussy cut a selection of houses from another sheet of the Trimming the Town DSP (below left). Starting from the middle, I positioned the houses above the sentiment, so that they slightly overlapped each other and did not exceed the width of the sentiment.

If you want to get everything prepared in advance, you will need a piece of patterned paper measuring 7 1/2" by 7 1/2".
Grab your scoreboard, scissors, bone folder and double-sided tape and note that all measurements are in inches
Score at 2 1/8"
Turn the paper clockwise once
Score at 2 1/8" (to the score line)
Score at 4 1/4"
Score at 6 3/8" (to the score line)
Score at 8 1/2"

For today's project I've created four Christmas cards using the Trimming the Town DSP.
I've created these Slider cards several times, the first time being way back in February 2015! I always go back to a video tutorial from Dawns Stamping Thoughts which you can find here. There are more recent versions available of course but I like this one!
I did a combination of die cutting and fussy cutting to cut out all of these houses from the DSP. I've layered them onto shapes die cut with the Layering Circles and Layering Ovals dies and added sentiments cut out from one of the patterned sheets of paper in this DSP pack.
I love coordinating my cardstock with my DSP, I don't usually work with the colour red but I adore the combination of Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Old Olive, Misty Moonlight and Early Espresso in this suite.
I must admit the only thing I didn't get from the Trimming the Town Suite is the ribbon - major fail!
I need to add a piece to the top of the card but I am lacking coordinating ribbon. I reckon I will end up going for some white ribbon - I may even colour it in with my blends!
In case you are wondering, he Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Tag Buffet stamp set.

I really enjoyed paper piecing with the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper while creating this double easel card!
I've created the scene to look lovely with the card folded flat and also with the 3D scene.
I think the trees and the people are perfectly placed to create the illusion of a snowy hilly scene.
I had the same problem with the mountain scene on this card. At the bottom of patterned paper I had houses chopped in half and again, it didn't look right.
I know this part isn't necessarily on display but I still wanted it to look perfect.
So I fussy cut some of the larger houses that I had spare, choosing houses in blue to keep the colours similar. I placed these houses over the areas I wanted to hide and my problem was solved!
This fun fold is really easy to do and there are lots of YouTube tutorials available to learn how to do this. Just search for Double Easel Card.
Creating this scene took a little while plus it really depends on what you've got available! I really enjoyed the process and finding ways to make it work.
The question is, will I be able to give this one away for Christmas or will I have to keep it? Papercrafters will know what I mean....

If you've already been hopping along, haven't all the projects been lovely? The Trimming the Town suite of products from Stampin' Up! is great to work with for all papercrafters - whether you're new to card making or not!
You can either buy a) the whole Suite of products, b) the Coming Home stamp set and Home Together dies as a bundle or c) just the patterned paper.
I've predominately used the Trimming the Town DSP for my project today. I've not done any stamping as everything you see has been taken from the patterned paper.
I have added Pool Party Sheer ribbon. I've lightly coloured it with my Misty Moonlight blends so the colour matches the cardstock better.
I decided to feature a section from the top of the patterned paper with the snowy town scene and I've made a few alterations - did you notice?
I cut away the daylight sky behind the mountains and replaced it with a snowflake sky at night. This was so easy to do and it works well with my Misty Moonlight cardbase.
I have used the Home Together dies to easily cut out the house and trees from the patterned sheet below on the left - but note this can also be easily achieved by fussy cutting using your scissors. This is exactly what I did for my sentiment which I took from the patterned sheet below on the right.

I've created this Christmas card using the Trimming the Town patterned paper from Stampin' Up for the background!
There is such a lovely mix of patterns in this pack of designer series paper!
The Coming Home Stamp Set and Home Together dies are the perfect bundle to use with your collection of Stampin' Blends.
If you've never used alcohol markers before, this would be a great place to start your Stampin' Blends experience. Each pack of Stampin' Blends contains a light and a dark pen that blend together beautifully. The images within the Coming Home stamp set are ideal to colour - you can really work on your blending skills before taking on more complex images.
I posted on my Facebook page recently that I personally find colouring therapeutic.
My crafting style at home is usually quite chaotic and I get in a mess quite quickly as I'm grabbing different products to use as my ideas are flowing. Sometimes just to sit down at my desk and have nothing but stamped images and my collection of Stampin' Blends is very calming.
For the ultimate colour coordination, the colours I've selected for colouring with are taken from the patterned paper I chose for the background.
I used my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker and my Stampin' Blends in Pool Party and Old Olive (plus Crumb Cake - which is not in the DSP).
The sentiment I've used is from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set and I've stamped it in Early Espresso Ink!
I've also used the Subtles Embossing Folder on the patterned paper to add texture to my card - it's always so difficult to capture this in photography but I think you can just about see it above.
Well, that's because it's not in there! I'm not sure why and whether it was missed accidentally? (and before you wonder - no, it's not in the clearance rack!)
You can however find it here in the UK online shop! I'm so glad I found it as I needed a lovely golden ribbon in my stash.
