If you have been following the Stampin' for Christmas hop this year, you may remember that I am a little short on current Stampin' Up! Christmas products in my stash. So I've been mixing it up, typically using a Christmas stamp set and a Christmas die set with current, non Christmassy DSP.
The True Love DSP is one of my favourites at the moment and I just had to team it up with Blushing Bride.
I love a black, pink and white colour combo ❤
The Snow Globe Scenes dies are one of my favourite Christmas die sets EVER. They are retiring on 3rd May 2021 so if you want them, you'd better be quick! I am so pleased I got to showcase them one last time.
I die cut the polar bears from this die set from Black Glitter Paper (note: this is not available to purchase right now, however, it will be returning in the next mini catalogue in July 2021).
I used my Blending Brushes to add some colour behind the polar bears. These brushes are a wonderful tool and an absolute must have for any papercrafter.
The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set, also retiring on 3rd May. It has been heat embossed in black (note: Black embossing powder will be making a return in the annual catalogue on 4th May 2021)

I created this card straight after creating my last project. With the Peony Garden DSP and Champagne Foil Sheets still on my desk, I started looking through my stamp sets for anything Christmassy that is still available to order and let me tell you, I have very limited 'current' Christmas supplies.
So, I decided to challenge myself to make a Christmas card using the Peony Garden DSP and my favourite Christmas dies - the Snow Globe Scene dies.
The colours aren't traditional but I suppose, when are my cards ever traditional?
I think it works, what do you think?
It's definitely not a card for everyone but I am sure that there is someone in your Christmas card list that would love it!

To make this card I die cut the trees (from the Snow Globe Scenes dies) multiple times from Champagne Foil. I snipped the trees into pieces so I could create a tree scene that wasn't following the same configuration of trees shown on the die.
I then took a piece of the Champagne Foil and cut a curvy line free hand. I positioned the trees behind this strip before adhering the piece to the card.
The sentiment has been stamped from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Gray Granite ink to match the DSP.
For the finishing touch, I added a bow in white twine I felt any other embellishment would have been too much for this modern and minimalist card.

Even though I love Christmas, I'll admit this is the first time I have EVER created a Christmas card out of season - the upside was that it was a lot of fun to combine a different range of products and colours to create my card!

I'm like a magpie and adore anything shiny, so when I found out that there were foil sheets in new colours the Mini Catalogue, I was very happy!
The new Love You Always Foil Sheets come in three colours and there 2 x 12" x 12" sheets of each colour in the pack - Sahara Sand, Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride ❤
The snowflakes on my card were originally die cut from white cardstock - thankfully I didn't adhere them to my card on Wednesday evening and left my project to finish the next evening. Then, as if by magic, my Stampin' Up! parcel finally arrived, a day earlier than expected on Thursday so I just had to change up my design and I am really pleased with the result.
Before I die cut my snowflakes, I grabbed an Adhesive Sheet and applied it to the back of a Rococo Rose Foil Sheet. I die cut enough snowflakes to create a diagonal pattern from corner to corner on my card base.
Adding the adhesive sheets made it so easy to apply the intricate die cuts to my card. They are an absolute must have in my opinion.
The background is the stunning Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper that you can select for free with a qualifying spend of £45 plus delivery.
I chose a piece of the Blackberry Bliss patterned paper and cut it to fit the card base. I then spent some time deliberating which way the ombre pattern should go..... decisions, decisions!
I then selected a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock for the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set which I stamped in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed in white.
For the final touches, I added ink splatters using the Champagne Mist shimmer paint. In hindsight I should have added this first but it was an afterthought and if I was to recreate this card again, I would definitely do this first.
