Congratulations on your Wedding Card & Top 10 winners blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci
Tuesday, May 9, 2017 Somerset, UK
Hello and a very warm welcome to my blog Handmade by Kim! My name is Kim Price and I live in the UK and I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
Today I am taking part in a blog hop with the other top ten winners from Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights, how exciting! Our theme is the same as the highlights and is cards for weddings.
I am absolutely thrilled to be taking part in this blog hop alongside super talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all around the world. To view all of the amazing projects they have made, please scroll down to the end of this post and click on the links to visit their blogs.
I'd like to say a massive thank you, I wouldn't be featuring in this blog hop today without all of the blog readers of all of the demonstrators who showcased their work in Kylie's International Blog Highlights and who took the time to cast a vote.
I decided to go for muted tones for this card. I have used Crumb Cake cardstock for my card base and coordinating patterned paper from the Falling in Love DSP. I used my clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to sparkle up the edge of the card and also the matt for the sentiment inside. You can see this better in the first image on this post. I think this looks lovely and coordinates with the image on this paper and just brings a special touch to this card.
The sentiment I have used is from the Floral Phrases stamp set which I have stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock.
For each butterfly, I die cut 2 shapes out of vellum and one out of Very Vanilla cardstock. There is a vellum butterfly under the Very Vanilla and then I layered another vellum butterfly on top of the Very Vanilla butterfly. The very top butterfly has also had the Wink of Stella treatment. The subtle sparkle is just lovely but is hard to see in these photos.
Next I die cut the sentiment Congrats 6 times using the sentiment from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlit Dies and adhered them on top of each other using Tombow glue, this just adds the right amount of dimension and for the sentiment to stand out from the butterflies. I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen on the sentiment to add one last bit of sparkle to the card. Can you tell it's been a while since I last used my glitter pen?
I hope you like my wedding card, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog - don't forget to let me know you were here by leaving a comment, we all love to receive them!

Handmade wedding card as showcased in Kylie Bertucci's Blog Highlight
Tuesday, April 11, 2017 Somerset, UK

If you live in UK, The Netherlands, Germany, France and Austria, you can purchase Stampin' Up! products from my online shop. If you are visiting from further afield, a very warm welcome to you! I hope you find some inspiration here today. You are more than welcome to follow me through any of my social media channels and keep up to date with my craft creations
Today I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci's Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight. Our theme for this highlight is Wedding Cards.
I recently held a craft day for some of my team at work. I asked the ladies attending to look through my Pinterest board to choose which cards they would like to make. Abi really liked a version of this card I made last year (click here to see it). Thankfully, I still had some of the (now retired but totally amazing Timeless Elegance DSP) left over. So I decided to make an alternative version using current DSP from the A Little Foxy DSP Stack.
Admittedly, the wooden sentiment is retired but you can replace this with a die cut sentiment or any 3D sentiment you have in your crafty stash. The wooden sentiment in this version has been coated in Versamark ink and then embossed in silver to coordinare with the Smokey Slate.
The flowers have been die cut using the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies which are now retiring. Make sure you order these soon before they sell out!
You can order all of the products I have used to create this card (except the wooden element) from my online shop (you can find Shop Online in the menu bar at the top of the screen) - however, if you would like to get in touch to place your order, ask a question or request a catalogue - you can contact me through any of my social media channels found in the sidebar, or you can simply email me by clicking here.
If you like my card, I would really appreciate your vote. Just click on the button below and find my project under number 36. To vote, all you have to do is click on the heart in the top right hand corner of the image.
Global Design Project #081 Colour challenge - Remarkable You Card & Matching Gift Bag
Tuesday, April 4, 2017 Somerset, UK
Here is a quick card from me today which I am entering into this weeks Global Design Project #081 Colour Challenge using the colours below.
This was a set I made at a craft day I held on Sunday. You may have seen the gift bag before as I designed this first and then added a matching card at a later date.
I have a YouTube video for the bag which is completely my own design, I would love for you to check this out as it's my first YouTube tutorial.
If you would like to order any of the products I have used, please let me know!
There's less than 3 weeks left of the biggest and best Stampin' Up! promotion of the year called Sale-a-Bration. For every £45 you spend you can choose a free gift from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogues and if your order exceeds £200 you will earn an extra £20 in Stampin' Rewards! Why don't you have a browse of these catalogues to see what you could choose for free with qualifying orders between now and 31st March 2017.
I made this card using the Delicate Details Photopolymer Stamp Set which you can choose for free when you spend £45 during Sale-a-Bration. You get 5 stamps in this stamp set as shown in the image below and I've used 2 of these in my card. They were really easy to line up together as they are photopolymer and you can see exactly where you are stamping.
To finish the card I've used the sentiment Celebrate You from the Birthday Blast Clear Mount Stamp Set from the Spring/Summer Catalogue 2017.#
The stamps and colours I have used for this card were inspired by my good friend Sasha Reade - thanks for providing the inspiration Sasha!
Please do get in touch if you have any questions about this promotion, want to find out more about Stampin' Rewards or if you would like to place an order.
If you would like to know more about joining my team and how you could receive a fully customisable starter kit containing £130 of product for just £99 and 20% discount on products you purchase from Stampin' Up!, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to explain it to you.

Floral Boutique Treat Bag Swap & My First YouTube Tutorial!
Saturday, February 18, 2017 Somerset, UK
Tomorrow I am attending an event that my upline Michelle Last has arranged for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in her downline. I'm really looking forward to it as I've not see my good friends Baz and Sasha since November and I can't wait to have a catch up with them. Of course I am looking forward to seeing everyone else and also to do some much needed crafting!! Michelle designs the most beautiful projects and its really nice to sit back and make something that someone else has designed.
I made a treat bag in this style back in December and I had lots of lovely people comment on my blog and email me asking for a tutorial. I am pleased to say that I have finally plucked up the courage and made a YouTube tutorial - I hope you like it and please do let me know by liking it or subscribing to my channel.
I designed this treat bag myself, I think its quite unusual as it has a square base and curved sides. Its super quick to make and its the perfect size to hold a few treats. From one pack of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, you can make 48 of these bags!
To make this bag you need a 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper and score as follows:
- Score at 1 3/8"
- Turn paper clockwise
- Score at 1 3/8" (only to the score line)
- Score at 2 3/4"
- Score at 4 1/8" (only to the score line)
- Score at 5 1/2"
You can click here to go to YouTube to watch my tutorial or you can click on the play button below.
To make this project you can buy the products I have used from my Online Shop which can be found in the menu bar at the top of the screen. All the products are listed below under labels - you can also find the product names and the product codes on my video as I use each product, please do contact me through my social media channels if you have any questions at all.
A Little Foxy Get Well Soon Card featuring in Kylie Bertucci's Blog Highlight
Tuesday, February 14, 2017 Somerset, UK
If you are visiting my blog for the first time, hi! my name is Kim and I live in the UK. If you live in UK, The Netherlands, Germany, France and Austria, you can purchase Stampin' Up! products from my online shop. If you are visiting from further afield, a very warm welcome to you! I hope you find some inspiration here today. You are more than welcome to follow me through any of my social media channels and keep up to date with my craft creations.
I designed this card so that it could suit either a female or male recipient. The A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper is so cute but isn't necessarily "girly" so I felt it was suitable for this card. This was my last piece of this paper, so I may have to just order another pack as it is likely to retire in May just before the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue is published.
You may have seen me use this particular pattern a few times before and each time I make this the main feature of the card. To give it some extra detail, I tore the patterned paper and Perfect Plum cardstock by hand and I am really pleased with the effect, which leaves lots of white space at the bottom of the card.
I decorated the inside too with the reverse piece of torn patterned paper and added some more torn Perfect Plum cardstock. The sentiment I have used is the same on the front and inside of the card and comes from the Iconic Occasions Stamp Set that is available as a Hostess set in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Spring Summer catalogue. If you want to know how you would go about getting this stamp set, please get in touch with me!
If you like my card, I would really appreciate your vote. Just click on the button below and find my project under number 36. To vote, all you have to do is click on the heart in the top right hand corner.
Plus I have some exciting news! I have filmed my very first YouTube tutorial!! I will be publishing it on Sunday morning and blog subscribers will receive an email notification when it is live. Click here to subscribe so you don't miss it.
Just before Christmas I made some little treat/gift bags and I received an overwhelming response asking for a video or written tutorial on how to make these. I've updated the design of the bag using different DSP and in my tutorial I will show you how to make it.
Come and visit my blog on Sunday and view my video tutorial but please be kind and leave me a comment, I'm really nervous about it, but at the same time I am happy I have finally done it!
Until Sunday....
Blog hop for the top ten winners of Kylie Bertucci's international blog highlights - welcome to the world baby Bailey - keepsake baby album made with Stampin' Up! products
Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Somerset, UK
Today I am taking part in a blog hop which includes the top ten winners from Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights.
I'd like to say a big thank you, I wouldn't be featuring in this blog hop today without all of the amazing blog readers of all of the demonstrators who showcased their work in Kylie's International Blog Highlights and who took the time to cast a vote.
Now, I have two things to confess -
1) I have used some retired product for my project. The Sahara Sand Lace Trim (my most favourite ribbon ever) and Crumb Cake Stitched Stain Ribbon - this was purely for the colour coordination and the look I was trying to achieve.
2) I took these photos just over a month ago and I stupidly didn't check them on my laptop until it was too late to retake them. Unfortunately the colours I have used look really washed out and don't do it justice so I have adjusted them to the best I can. I hope you can forgive me!
I made this album based on a mini scrapbook that my upline Michelle Last designed for a Pinkies team training day. The actual design is completely all of my original work but I can't take any credit for the fantastic layout and great instructions that I have referred to time and time again. Thanks Michelle!1) I have used some retired product for my project.
I work full time as a Finance Manager and I have the best team of staff. I love to make things for them, when the occasion arises. One of my team had a baby boy last year and I made her a similar book (I will blog about it soon). When my team member Andrew announced his partner Lauren was expecting, I knew that I had an excuse to make another.
I have great fun designing these albums and I always feel quite sad parting with them when the time comes. Both versions I have made are completely unique and for this version I chose to use muted tones of beige to match the gifts we had bought for them and their baby boy Bailey.
The colours I have used are Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand.
I used various framelits and thinlit dies to decorate the album, I used the Hello You Thinlit dies for the die cut the Hello sentiment on the front cover. I used the Layering Ovals Framelit Dies, Layering Circle Framelit Dies and Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies throughout the album for all of the ovals and circles. I just love the look the stitching effect gives, just the right amount of interest and detail so your eye is still drawn to the stamped image. I also used the Up & Away Thinlit Dies for the hot air balloon, the Baby's First Framelits Dies for the baby grows and the Large Letters Framelit Dies for the centre where I spelled out Bailey's name. I was in die cutting heaven!
I usually buy a card for everyone at work to sign for birthdays and special occasions, I felt a a shop bought or a handmade card for this occasion would be too small for all 22 of us to sign and I wanted to make something handmade and unique.
With this in mind, the idea to make a keepsake album came about. Instead of leaving spaces for photos, I included pockets where I could put note cards we wrote our congratulations messages on. Each card is double sided and can easily be taken out to read both sides. They can't fall out easily either, so no worrying they will be lost.
I hope you enjoyed today's project and thank you for taking the time to visit my blog - don't forget to let me know you were here by leaving a comment, we all love to receive them.
I'd love to welcome more subscribers too, so please check out my side bar and if you are interested, make sure you sign up to receive notifications of my new blog posts, you can even join my newsletter list.
Global Design Project - Case the designer Krista Frattin challenge #GDP072 - Thank you card feat. the Penned and Painted stamp set.
Wednesday, February 1, 2017 Somerset, UK
Here is my entry for this weeks Global Design Project. The theme this week is to CASE the designer. In this challenge, CASE means to Copy and Selectively Edit.
I had already made this card before I saw Krista Frattin's card but I feel it meets the brief and I hope you do too.
I made this thank you card for orders placed with me in January - so if you shopped with me, thank you and I hope that you have received it by now!
I'm going to be placing an order soon and in it will include some new watercolour pens - until I receive these I've been using my wink of stella pen with my ink pads. For this card I used Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant ink. The stamped images are from the Penned and Painted stamp set and this is the first time I've used it and I really like it.
You can order order all of the products I have used from my online shop. Right now we have a great promotion on. For every £45 you spend you can choose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. There is a great joining offer too - just ask me for more details.
Wish you were here handmade card - using Up & Away Thinlits Dies by Stampin' Up!
Tuesday, January 17, 2017 Somerset, UK
Today I am taking part in Kylie Bertucci's Stampin' Up! Blog Highlight. Our theme for this highlight is travel - looking at the new items in my crafty stash, I knew I just had to use my new Up & Away Thinlit Dies. I hope you like the project I have made with them?
I wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who voted for me in the last Blog Highlight a few weeks ago, I was very lucky to finish in joint 6th place and I have now been offered a place in a blog hop taking place next month, which is being organised by Kylie. It will feature creations from all of the top 10 winners, how exciting!
For the card base, I have added a layer of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock on top of a layer of Basic Gray cardstock. I then used the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper for the final layer. I love these colours together.
I used the new Iconic Occasions Hostess stamp set for my sentiment "Wish you were here" - just perfect for our theme of travel. This hostess set is available until 31st May 2017 with qualifying orders of £150 or more (don't forget you get a FREE Sale-a-bration item for every £45 you spend!!).
The Iconic Occasions Hostess stamp set can be found on page 3 of the Spring Summer catalogue and is also shown in the final image on this blog post. Not only do I love the font they've used for the sentiments, I also love the actual sentiments they have included in this set - I particularly like "Great job" and also "Get well soon", mainly as they are not available in any other the other stamp sets.
Whilst I love the sentiment on the front of the card, I decided not to add a sentiment to the inside of my card so there is lots of space for writing. Instead, I added a strip of the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper and a hint of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.
If you like my project, I would very much appreciate you voting for me. All you have to do is look up picture number 9, check it says my name Kim Price and click the heart in the top right hand corner.
You can order all of the products I have used to create this card from my online shop (the Online Shop ink is in the menu bar at the top of the screen) - however if you would like to get in touch to place your order, ask a question or request a catalogue - you can contact me through any of my social media channels found in the sidebar, or you can simply email me by clicking here.
