If you are visiting my blog for the first time, welcome!

My name is Kim and I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Somerset in the United Kingdom.

I am thrilled to be taking part in the Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop for the first time! I am excited to be hopping with demonstrators from all over the world!

Today we are all showcasing our creations from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue - which you may know as the Autumn Winter Catalogue or Holiday Catalogue.

Scroll down my blog post to check out pictures of the christmas cards I've created.

Towards the end of this page you will find the 'Next' button - simply click this button to be taken to the next blog and then repeat until you end up back here again!

Alternatively you can click each name under the Roll Call to check out all of the amazing projects!

I love working with all of the products in a suite but I also love mixing them up too!

Today my cards are featuring the beautiful Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper and the Wishes & Wonder stamp set and coordinating North Pole Wonder dies.

I've added silver elements which go perfectly with the colours within this pack of patterned paper.

The Snowflake Splendor DSP from Stampin' Up! features the colours: Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Whisper White

I've also used Purple Posy cardstock which is not a colour featured within this paper but I think it blends in seamlessly.

For the background (behind the reindeer), I've sponged Frost White Shimmer Paint through the polka dot Basic Pattern Decorative Mask.

The dots aren't perfectly shaped - I don't think I took enough care but you know what, I love it so I left it as it is!

I adore the North Pole stamp! It looks amazing heat embossed in silver.

Did you know that within the North Pole Wonder dies is a circle that fits the North Pole stamp exactly? That's what I love about Stampin' Up! - they make it easy for us to make beautiful projects!

The reindeer is pretty cute too! I've die cut this from Silver Foil (I also added a snowflake from the So Many Snowflakes dies)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today! Click here to receive my future blog posts by email.

It would be lovely if you could leave a comment to let me know you stopped by! I'd love to know where you are from and your favourite stamp set, bundle, suite or kit from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue.

Heat embossed handmade card created with the Lovely You stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Thursday, August 27, 2020 Bridgwater, UK

Lovely You Stampin' Up!

I created this card for two creative challenges - this weeks Global Design Project challenge #GDP255 and a colour challenge on the Facebook group for the Pinkies team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

Global Design Project #GDP255

The Global Design Project theme is trees and leaves - so I used the Lovely You stamp set from Stampin' Up! as the main feature of my card.

Lovely You Stampin' Up!

The colours for this weeks Pinkies Team Challenge are Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand and Petal Pink - all three colours are beautiful individually and together.
Lovely You Stampin' Up! Colour Combo Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand, Petal Pink
I enjoy working with soft, subtle colours but it still took me a little while to work out how I was going to combine these together for the colour challenge.

Lovely You Stampin' Up!

I stamped several images from the Lovely You stamp set onto Seaside Spray, Sahara Sand and Petal Pink cardstock. I used Versamark Ink and applied White Embossing Powder which I set with my heat tool.

Lovely You Stampin' Up!

I trimmed each of the three pieces so the width was approximately a third of the size of the matt I wanted to create.

Next I took a piece of cardstock and covered it in Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added each piece of embossed cardstock to this, making sure there were no gaps in between each colour. I then used my mini guillotine to trim it to size. Trimming all four sides made sure all of the edges were straight - to appear if they were originally one piece of card.

Lovely You Stampin' Up!

The sentiment has been stamped in Sahara Sand ink and is from the Tasteful Touches stamp set and the die I used is from the Tasteful Labels dies.

I added a few Champagne Rhinestones - they suit these colours perfectly.

I am really pleased with the end result - I'm definitely going to use this technique again!

I hope enjoyed my project today? Did you know you can subscribe to receive blog post notifications by email - just click here

Coming Home Christmas card with embossing paste!!

Tuesday, August 25, 2020 Bridgwater, UK

Coming Home Stamp Set, Home Together Dies & Shimmery White Embossing Paste

Have you noticed that lately I've been trying out lots of new techniques?

Today's technique features the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and I love it!

You can purchase the Embossing Paste from my Stampin' Up! online shop - I'm so glad I got the glittery one but there is a plain option if you don't like too much sparkle!

Coming Home Stamp Set, Home Together Dies & Shimmery White Embossing Paste

My favourite Stampin' Up! colour is Pool Party - I haven't used it as much recently so it was time to dust it off!

I've paired lots of Pool Party elements along with a little bit of Smoky Slate and Basic Gray.

Coming Home Stamp Set, Home Together Dies & Shimmery White Embossing Paste

I mixed drop of Pool Party ink with a small amount of the Shimmery White Embossing Paste.

With my spatula I applied it onto Whisper White cardstock through the polka dot Basic Pattern Decorative Mask, scrapping off any excess.

I then set it aside to dry - it didn't take too long!

Coming Home Stamp Set, Home Together Dies & Shimmery White Embossing Paste

Next I adhered it onto my Pool Party cardstock base, adding Pool Party Sheer Ribbon - this ribbon is BEAUTIFUL!

Coming Home Stamp Set, Home Together Dies & Shimmery White Embossing Paste

Using the Layering Ovals dies I die cut a scalloped oval in Pool Party cardstock, I then added a a standard oval to fit within it.

These dies - along with the Layering Circles and Layering Squares - are great staples for your craft stash, I use them so much!

Coming Home Stamp Set, Home Together Dies & Shimmery White Embossing Paste

I stamped the house image from the Coming Home stamp set in Memento ink and then coloured it in with Pool Party and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.

I honestly never thought I would enjoying colouring so much - I really love the Stampin' Blends, they are such a great product and I am slowly building up my collection of them.

Forever Blossoms - ombre effect using a sponge brayer! Global Design Project #GDP254

Friday, August 21, 2020 Bridgwater, UK

Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms

I really enjoyed creating this card!

I haven't crafted as much in recent weeks so this was a lovely technique to play with and a great opportunity to use one of my favourite floral stamp sets Forever Blossoms in a new way!

Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms

Initially I wanted to create a pure white card but I realised the glossy embossed background was near impossible to capture fully in a photograph.

So instead, I've created this stunning ombre effect simply by using a sponge brayer and two ink pads!

I am entering my card into this weeks Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP254

Global Design Project #GDP254
I do hope it meets the sketch criteria.... I wanted to add more Rhinestones (to replicate the three flowers in the sketch) but I felt it looked better with just the one - with as little as possible to detract from the ombre background.

Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms

To create the background I used the large flower stamp from the Forever Blossoms stamp set.

I stamped the flower image using Versamark Ink and applied clear embossing powder before setting with my heat tool.

Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms

I used a sponge brayer to lightly apply the colour Seaside Spray - I created the ombre effect in a vertical direction - from left to right.

I carefully built up the colour and applied a little bit of Misty Moonlight to the very right to achieve the gradient I wanted.

Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms

The effect was so lovely I decided to keep the card really simple with a bold sentiment - I considered adding ribbon but it was too much and I just love clean and simple cards.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set - I decided to omit the ending of this sentiment - did you know you can do this?

The sentiment stamp actually is 'Cherish every moment of this day'

There are several ways to do this - for this card, the method I chose was to only ink the words I wanted to stamp.

Boho Indigo DSP Series - Decorated Wreath Wedding Present

Saturday, August 15, 2020 Bridgwater, UK

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Wreath

My final project in my nine part Boho Indigo DSP Series is a decorated wreath!

This is a gorgeous handmade home decor project using up scrap pieces of coordinating patterned paper.

The sentiment I've used makes this suitable for a wedding present - however, just a simple change of words can make this suit any occasion!

You can see all of the projects I've created in my Boho Indigo DSP Series - simply click the image below.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Series

Having made so many projects from just one Boho Indigo Product Medley Refill, I had lots of pieces left over that were perfect to use in this project.

I cut approximately 80 strips of patterned paper, varying in width - between 1/4" to 1/2" wide and  5" long.

The length of the strips entirely depends on the size and style of your wreath. I would suggest cutting about 20 strips at a time. This is so you don't cut more than you need - although if you have some left over, take a look at my pencil tin as an example of how you can use them!

For this project, I have used a polystyrene foam wreath, 20cm wide, with a flat back. It's nowhere near as large as a wreath you might hang on your door at Christmas. If you're making a wreath that size, you'll need a lot more strips of paper!

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Wreath

I applied double sided sticky tape directly to the polystyrene and then wrapped the paper around it, giving the paper a bit of a curl with my bone folder beforehand so it sat nicely on the curved sides.

I have wondered since if using a liquid glue would work just as well - do let me know if you have tried this!

I applied the strips of paper in a anti clockwise direction, slightly overlapping them each time.

Of course you can apply it in a clockwise direction too, just make sure you continue in the same direction, clockwise or anticlockwise, so all of the pieces are overlapping in the same way.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Wreath

I've chosen a lovely sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I applied Gold Embossing Powder and used my Heat Tool to set it.

Stampin' Up! Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper

I layered the sentiment onto another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then added it to the centre of one of the pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.

The Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper has a wonderful selection of elements you can use in your projects. You can purchase this for just £14.00 from my online shop by clicking here.

For the finishing touches, I added the gold Gilded Gems to the front of the wreath. I also added a loop of Very Vanilla Metallic Edge Ribbon (ti hand the wreath) to the back using a drawing pin.

Even after making these nine projects, I still have lots of the kit left over and I haven't even used the die cut elements yet!

Boho Indigo DSP Series - Stationery Set

Wednesday, August 12, 2020 Bridgwater, UK

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

I've adored stationery for as long as I can remember.

Notebooks are my weakness - they can be pretty or practical. I love them all!

I like to be organised and I'm a planner, I use note books for many purposes - to write down my ideas and make lists, to name a few....

Today I am sharing a fun stationery project I've created with the patterned paper from Boho Indigo Product Medley.

Boho Indigo Series - Handmade by Kim

I've created the pieces inside using bits and bobs I had stashed in my craft room. I often buy things that I know I'll use in future papercraft projects - especially if they are a bargain. I've got a draw full of sticky notes, uncovered note pads and tins of all shapes and sizes.

The tin I've used in today's project measures - 220 (L) x 160 (w) x 25 (h) mm and is from a company called Tinware that are based in the UK.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

I have made projects using this sized tin before but this time I decided to design it with it in a landscape position. The idea is that you can choose to keep the tin open in an upright position when using the stationery.

Using my ruler and my corner punch, I've measured cardstock and paper to fit the lid, the inside of the lid and the base. I've used Very Vanilla and Misty Moonlight cardstock and the Boho Indigo patterned paper

All of the patterned paper you can see on all of the pieces within this project has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder for a lovely linen look.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

As you can see, I have added a calendar to the inside of the lid . This is held in place by a magnet so it can be changed easily every year.

I have also added in an area to store pens, using just a bit of ribbon adhered to cardstock to keep the pens in place.

In my draw of bits and bobs, I also store hoard all of the Stampin' Up! pens I have collected from various events over the last 7 years. Imagine my delight when I discovered that I had three pens in navy blue to match this project! The other two pens can be seen in my previous project!

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

Held within the tin are some sticky notes, a paperclip pot (tin) and a notebook.

I made sure I used different (but complimentary patterns on every piece.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

For my sticky note holder, I've used magnets to keep the cover in place.

I've decorated the inside too!

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

The paperclip tin fits within the larger tin. I've decorated the lid and added a Misty Moonlight bow.

I located my retired Stampin' Up! paperclips to put inside. Do you remember any of these?

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

For various reasons, I haven't decorated the outside of the notebook. One being that any 3D decoration on the front will just get damaged really easily.

When you open it you will see I have created a pocket to hold some tags.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

I wanted to add some sticky notes but I  also wanted to hide them as they were just so bright in comparison to the colours in my project. So I added a flap to hold the tags and cover the sticky notes.

Again, these sticky notes are another stash - they were 50p each from Morrison's many years ago (maybe five or six years ago?) Every time I go to Morrison's, I always check the stationery section for them but they are no more. I have about 4 left so I'm good for now but I'll still be checking!

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo

As you can see from following my Boho Indigo DSP Series, you can do SO much with the beautiful Stampin' Up! patterned paper and create something unique!

I think this stationery set would make a lovely handmade gift.

You can purchase the Boho Indigo Product Medley from my online shop today by clicking here

Just one more project to go!! My decorated wreath - I can't wait to show you this beauty!
