My final project in my nine part Boho Indigo DSP Series is a decorated wreath!
This is a gorgeous handmade home decor project using up scrap pieces of coordinating patterned paper.
The sentiment I've used makes this suitable for a wedding present - however, just a simple change of words can make this suit any occasion!

Having made so many projects from just one Boho Indigo Product Medley Refill, I had lots of pieces left over that were perfect to use in this project.
I cut approximately 80 strips of patterned paper, varying in width - between 1/4" to 1/2" wide and 5" long.
The length of the strips entirely depends on the size and style of your wreath. I would suggest cutting about 20 strips at a time. This is so you don't cut more than you need - although if you have some left over, take a look at my pencil tin as an example of how you can use them!
For this project, I have used a polystyrene foam wreath, 20cm wide, with a flat back. It's nowhere near as large as a wreath you might hang on your door at Christmas. If you're making a wreath that size, you'll need a lot more strips of paper!
I applied double sided sticky tape directly to the polystyrene and then wrapped the paper around it, giving the paper a bit of a curl with my bone folder beforehand so it sat nicely on the curved sides.
I have wondered since if using a liquid glue would work just as well - do let me know if you have tried this!
I applied the strips of paper in a anti clockwise direction, slightly overlapping them each time.
Of course you can apply it in a clockwise direction too, just make sure you continue in the same direction, clockwise or anticlockwise, so all of the pieces are overlapping in the same way.

I've chosen a lovely sentiment from the Forever Blossoms stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I applied Gold Embossing Powder and used my Heat Tool to set it.
I layered the sentiment onto another piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then added it to the centre of one of the pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.

For the finishing touches, I added the gold Gilded Gems to the front of the wreath. I also added a loop of Very Vanilla Metallic Edge Ribbon (ti hand the wreath) to the back using a drawing pin.
Even after making these nine projects, I still have lots of the kit left over and I haven't even used the die cut elements yet!

I love this stamp set, its just gorgeous. Its called Blooms and Wishes and its very versatile. Using different colours you can achieve so many looks. Check out these lovely cards made using this stamp set that I've pinned on my Flowers & Nature Pinterest boards by clicking here.
I've used the colours Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, Wisteria Wonder, Mint Macaron and Soft Sky - my inspiration was the colours of the Sweet Pea flowers. I really must plant some next year as they are such lovely flowers - the garden has been a bit neglected recently....probably doesn't help that I prefer crafting to gardening any day!
I made this card with a wedding in mind so I used this great sentiment from the Floral Phrases stamp set for the inside.

Today I am super excited to be taking part again in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight showcasing handmade cards made using Stampin' Up! products by demonstrators and customers from all over the world.
Kylie has challenged us to come up with a card made based on the theme "Love" so I chose to make this beautiful wedding card.

I love the wooden sentiment on the front of this card. In fact I have used this technique on the team swaps I am making for Onstage Local next week.
Its really glittery but unfortunately my photograph does not capture this.
I still wanted to tell you how I decorated the sentiment in case you wanted to give this a try. I sponged black ink over the sentiment and then added a layer of glitter using the clear Wink of Stella pen. Simple!

I also used the Wink of Stella pen on the inside of the card on the layer of black underneath the sentiment. You can just about see it sparkle in this photo.

All I've been thinking since I've got back off holiday is Christmas. Christmas shopping. Christmas food. Christmas cards. And simply not having enough time to prepare. So I decided I needed a break. No, not another holiday! I just needed an hour in my craft room making a handmade card that wasn't Christmassey (yes, that's a word).
Okay, so I don't know anyone getting married, this year or next, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy spending some time making a wedding card.
Sometimes, when I craft for fun, I just pull out some cardstock and DSP in colours that I love. I choose which colours to combine, or simply stick to a single colour theme. I then cut and score my card base and add a layer or two.... I then think about what stamp set I am going to use and what is going to be the main feature of the card. I've had the Bird Builder Punch for well over a year and I have never used it. Having prepared my base, I knew I wanted something white in the centre of the card, so I used the Shimmery White cardstock to punch out the birds and added a small sentiment using the For The New Two stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed this project today. I love crafting for fun, make sure you find the time to do this as well as crafting for specific occasions or workshops. Sometimes when the pressure is off, creativity comes along natually.

A few months ago I made some wedding invitations for my husbands colleague and friend from his work. Ana & James wanted something very simple and gave me a brief which consisted of a image and the colours blue & pink. I prepared 3 very different designs for them and they chose the design which you can see featured in this post today.
I made a flat, two sided design with the key details of the day printed on the front in Whisper White cardstock and a fun poem printed on the back. I mounted this onto a layer of Blushing Bride cardstock and Night of Navy cardstock.
To present the invitations, I tied some Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the envelopes and made a simple tag using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch using Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the most perfect sentiment from the For The New Two stamp set "Wishing you both a very special day" in Staz On Black ink. Finally, I added a jewelled embellishment that I had left over from the Spring Summer catalogue, to complete this classic look.
Naturally I didn't want to showcase this project until after Ana & James wedding. I hope they both had a magical day. Both myself and my husband Phil wish them all the very best for the future.

Today's Wedding card showcases the beautiful lace effect paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper and the stamp set For The New Two that can be found in the Annual Catalogue.
I gave the card a Sahara Sand Base and a Basic Black Layer. I then hand stamped the sentiment Congratulations to the Bride and Groom onto a piece of patterned paper (also included in the Timeless Elegance DSP pack) and die cut this into an oval shape with one of the Ovals Collection Framelit Dies. To introduce texture into the design I added some of the lovely Sahara Sand Lace Trim in front of the lace effect paper and behind the sentiment and tied a small bow.
