Happy Halloween everyone!
I've just come back from a lovely holiday where I enjoyed 10 days of winter sun, sea and sand. I planned before I went away to make 17 Halloween Gifts to give to my team at work (and my other colleagues within the office) as a little treat instead of bringing back something from Egypt.
I knew for sure that I wanted to use the Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bags as they are the perfect size to hold some Haribo and Maoam sweets and a Lollipop. I also knew I was definitely going to use the Witches' Night Photopolymer Stamp Set, the Lots of Labels Framelits and the amazing Spider Web Doilies. I just wasn't sure at all how I was combine all of these together.
For me, the only colour (aside from Black) that signifies Halloween is Orange. I wanted to include this colour in my Trick or Treat Gift Bag so I made a 1 inch belly band using some patterned Tangelo Twist paper from the Happy Haunting DSP. I then adhered the centre of the Spider Web Doily to the front of the belly band. I stamped the beautifully detailed Trick or Treat image onto Whisper White cardstock and die cut this using the Lots of Labels Framelit Dies and adhered this on top of the doily.

I have made some cute but deadly Halloween Treat Bags to show you today. I think these would be perfect to hold some sweets or chocolates for you to give to your friends and family on All Hallows' Eve.
You can make your gift bags (or boxes) whatever size you want (as long as you don't need your paper to be bigger than 12" x 12"). I've used the fantastic Happy Haunting DSP again which I've already showcased twice in two different projects - my Halloween Party Invitations and another version of a Treat Bag.
I have stamped the deadly poison bottles from the Sweet Hauntings stamp set onto Basic Black cardstock using Whisper White Craft ink. I managed to do some fussy cutting to cut out the poison bottles by hand. I layered the cut out images on top of a Tangelo Twist Scallop Circle and a 2" Circle punched out of Very Vanilla Cardstock, already stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set using Tangelo Twist ink & Basic Black Archival ink.
I also stamped a gravestone (aka note tag) using the same method but punched this out with my Note Tag Punch and attached this to secure the bag with a Mini Metallic Clothespin.

The dark nights are settling in now and soon the winter coats & scarfs will be coming out. I love our seasons and whilst I am sad that summer is well and truly over, I am looking forward to Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas!
With Halloween just over a month away, I decided to make some Halloween Invitations. I'm not having a party but I wanted an excuse to make some Halloween Cards. Here in the UK we don't give cards at Halloween but I still wanted to make some so I thought I could make the cards invitations instead.
I added a strip of Black Glimmer Paper to the bottom of the card and added You're Invited using the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set and the Word Window Punch.
The designs are so great they really don't need much adding to them. I love the bats, ghosts & spider patterned paper I've used in these cards but there are some other great patterns in the pack of paper such as the gravestones & crows and the Tangerine Tango stripes.
In each pack of Happy Haunting DSP, you get 12 sheets of 12" x 12" paper. The pack includes 2 sheets of each of the 6 double side designs and it only costs £10.00!
You can also buy a pack of coordinating cardstock for £6.50 which contains 24 A4 sheets of cardstock. 8 sheets each of Basic Black, Tangelo Twist, Very Vanilla.

With 3 days off from work I am hoping to get a little bit of everything done this weekend. My huband and I are off out to do a little bit of shopping shortly then this evening I will be cooking Rib of Beef and Roast Potatoes. Tomorrow we are going to the seaside then out for a meal at one of my favourite restaurants. My husband has to work on Monday so I will be crafting all day and getting ready all of my retired stamp sets, punches and framelits to sell on eBay.
Halloween is just 2 months away and we certainly don't want those cold nights to be back anytime soon but I just couldn't refrain from playing with the new Sweet Hauntings stamp set and Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper last weekend. I am not a massive fan of the colour orange however I just love the Tangelo Twist DSP. It just makes me think of Halloween.
The gift bag I've made is perfect for filling with chocolate or sweets and can be a lovely gift for friends, family or work colleagues.
