Everyone who bought a product from my online shop on eBay in the month of September received a version of the featured paper bag and thank you note and also a free gift containing at least 8 sheets of 6"x 6" DSP and some ribbon.
I love to share what I make so I thought it would be a good idea to provide all of my details and a little bit of information about Stampin' Up! and how to place an order on the note card inside the paper bag.
Thanks again to all of you who got in touch to let me know how much you liked my blog, how you liked by photos on eBay and how you were pleased with your free gift. You have no idea how much that meant to me. I hope that you enjoy looking at my projects and that they inspire you to craft and have fun!
I've made this gift box in traditional Christmas colours using the Cherry Cobbler paper from the Merry Moments DSP Stack. I coloured the wooden snowflake to match the paper using my Cherry Cobbler ink - no fancy technique involved here - I simply pressed the snowflake onto the ink pad until I had even coverage. I also used my favourite bundle, the Holly Jolly Greetings Bundle, for the sentiment, I can't seem to stop using these thinlits - I love them!
Just a short blog post from me today, I've had a really busy weekend visiting family and have clocked up 400 miles in less than 24 hours. Tiredness has just hit me so please enjoy the pictures and I'll be back on Wednesday with another project.
For today's project I made two gifts bags using some different patterns out of the Timeless Elegance DSP. I added a glittery banner using Glimmer Paper and the Banner Tripple punch. I then took some wooden sentiments (they are called Expressions Natural Elements) and used Versamark Ink, Embossing Powder and my heat gun to add a lovely shiny embossed colour to the embellishment. To finish it off I punched a hole through the top and then used some of the lovely Satin Ribbon and Linen Thread to secure the bag.
So here it is, my brand new shiny series showcasing the gorgeous Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!. I have 7 different projects for you over the next 2 weeks and I really hope you enjoy them.
I LOVE this paper and I can honestly say that its the first paper that I've ever used up the entire pack . I normally hoard paper I love, I just can't seem to use it. It's like I am saving it all for a rainy day. Well this time I decided just to cut into it straight away. And since I decided that, I just kept using it and using it in my projects.
With all of my finished projects, I put them in my basket ready for photographing. Seeing them together made me realise that I had an opportunity to do another series.... so I added a few more projects so I had 7 in total - a few didn't make the cut but hey ho, we all know that when crafting things don't always look the way we envisaged them to. Some of the projects have been finished for a little while now and to be honest its been killing me having to patiently wait to show them to you.
I am really excited to show you today this gorgeous stationery tin I've made. Isn't it just fabulous?
Now I can't take credit for this gorgeous design, my upline Michelle Last created this as a project for our craft weekend in Birmingham way back in April. I've just taken Michelle's design and changed the colours to work with the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper. Click here to see Michelle's design.
I love Michelle's version and still have my pink tin in my craft room along with the yellow version we also made. Even though they would make great gifts, I just can't seem to be able to part with them - and I am glad as they gave me the inpsiration to make this tin.
You can buy these tins from Tinware Direct. I think its amazing how you can transform a metal tin with some beautfiul paper and a few accessories. I've used Black Glimmer Paper for the Banner & Flower and Basic Black Cardstock & Vellum Cardstock for the butterfly.

Did you enjoy Saturdays blog hop? Weren't the projects fabulous? I love seeing how different people use the Stampin' Up! products - everyone is so creative and has their own unique style. From seeing these projects, I've added a few items to my next order, just don't tell my husband!
This project that I am showcasing today I made just for fun. I love the Kraft paper look at Christmas. I usually wrap Christmas presents in brown paper and decorate them with ribbon and handmade gift tags. Each years look is slightly different and this year I am going to start early. Last year didn't quite go to plan and for the first time in ages I had to use shop bought tags!! I know there's no harm in that and I don't think for one minute that my family even noticed, but I like to be individual so I did feel like I was cheating a bit.
I started making this gift tag by stamping the reindeer from the Jolly Christmas stamp set in Versamark ink onto Kraft cardstock. I then sprinkled over Heat & Stick Powder, tapping off the excess and putting this back into the pot. By heating the powder with a heat gun it becomes sticky, so you need to quickly sprinkle over the Stampin' Glitter before it dries. Tap off any glitter that doesn't stick to the powder and put this back into the pot. To set the glitter in place, you neec to heat it one more time with the the heat gun.
I love this effect and I certainly want to include this look into this years Christmas cards! I don't have a design created yet but after another month of crafting with these fab products from the new Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter Catalogue, I'll try and incorporate all of my favourite looks into either one or several different designs.
To finish making the tag, I used one of the Circles Collections Framelits Dies to cut out the reindeer but I wasn't sure what to do with it next.... after some pondering I decided to have some fun and pair it with a really bright colour for a modern look. I chose Melon Mambo - doesn't it look amazing against the Kraft cardstock?
I cut the tag and stamped stars from the Jolly Greetings stamp set in Black Archival ink. I added a Black Glimmer Banner and used Stampin' Dimensionals to add the Kraft cardstock to the tag. It looked like it needed something else which I why I added the Melon Mambo stars punched using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Accents set. Okay so this is not my usual look but like I said this was just for fun! Do you ever craft outside of your comfort zone?

Today's card features the new Whisper White Thick Cardstock. The Stampin' Up! standard Whisper White Cardstock is 216gsm. The Whisper White Thick Cardstock is much heavier at 270gsm. This makes it much stronger to hold embellishments and also allows you to keep the design simple with no layers, like I have shown in today's project.
I've created the background using the Watercolour Wash background stamp and Pool Party ink. I love the fact that you don't need to be an artist to have authentic looking brush strokes in your project.
I die cut a butterfly from Basic Gray Cardstock using the smallest die in the Butterflies Thinlits Dies set. I then die cut a butterfly from Vellum using the smallest butterfly in the Bold Butterfly Framelit Dies and layered this onto the butterfly in Basic Gray. I might try this using the Silver Foil Paper or Silver Glimmer Paper next time to give the card more sparkle.
I then adhered sequins, rhinestones and subtles candy dots to the background using the new Fine Tip Glue Pen which will be available in the Autumn/Winter catalogue that’s being released on 1st September.
On a 1cm strip of Whisper White I stamped the sentiment You're a true friend using the Endless Thanks stamp set. I then used the tripple banner punch to punch out the banner end. This stamp set is so versatile, there are so many combinations you make, take a look at the stamps included in the picture below.

Today, I am spending the day with the lovely Pinkies. My upline Michelle Last is holding our quarterly regional training in Croughton and I am really looking forward to catching up with everyone and getting stuck into some crafting. I don't know what projects we will be making, so I am looking forward to the surprise!
As usual, we have made swaps to exchange with each other. There are lots of benefits to making and receiving card swaps and 3D swaps; you can discover new ways to use stamp sets, fall in love with stamp sets you've never looked twice at before, look at the effect techniques you've not tried before
and use the swaps as samples at your events. I simply love to receive swaps as it feels a little bit like Christmas - its exciting and you never know what you are going to get. I always try and think of something different to make so you will find my swaps have really varied from project to project. Last weekend I decided to make these swaps - 3D chocolate party favours!
I started off making a gold version then quickly decided that I needed to make a silver version too.
Most people are drawn to either Gold or Silver - I would love to know which is your favourite?
As you can see, each party favour contains a Ferrero Rocher chocolate. A little bit of fast fuse adhesive is strong enough to hold the chocolate in place.
Another really quick card from me today. I wanted to use some of the new In Colour Designer Series Paper and also try out my new Butterfly Thinlit Dies and this is what I came up with. I have loved
seeing everyone's projects made using this die. I wasn't going to buy it but when I saw it in the new catalogue, I thought it was time to jump on the bandwagon.
There are 4 designs available in each pack of the new Designer Series Paper - Polka Dots, Writing (you cna see the pattern in the smaller oval in the picture above), Diagonal Stripes & Tiny Flowers. So far I have got this paper in the Subtles colours and the In colours for 2014 - 2016.
